Cheers to motherhood and toddlerhood! :)
Last July 27 our little darling officially turned two. There’s no big party just family bonding and dinner time. Although it took us time to decide what to do on her special day, my husband and I decided that we’ll just let her play and go to her favorite places. At first, I thought it will be easy since there’s no preparation to be done, but if it’s for your kid, all the details matter. We bought her a kitchen set and a balloon unicorn. We ordered a unicorn cake for her special day and I prepared and cooked our dinner at home. It was tiring yet memorable experience for us. Ellie turning two is not just about her getting a year older it is also our perfect moment to celebrate two years of being parents. Challenging but everything is worth it.
We bought her a kitchen set – it challenged my EQ not to give it to her immediately. We also bought her new books because we want her to focus on her reading and shapes. Plus new shoes and clothes – toddlers grow up so fast that they easily outgrew their stuff. Although we don’t have a party we bought her balloons (that made her so happy). We ordered a unicorn cake for her special day and I prepared and cooked our dinner at home. It was tiring yet memorable experience for us.

We went to Kidzapalooza in celebration of her birthday. There are seven play areas that kids can explore – the market place, a block factory, toddler town, soft play area, arcade, art gallery and actor’s entrance only. I already did some research before we went there to check on what it has to offer. They also have a salon/spa for moms and kids and a neat cafe – parents can also enjoy some milkshakes while their kids are busy exploring the area. We like how the attendants looked after the kids and how they toddler-proof the whole place. Ellie spent most of her time in ToddlerTown – she met new playmates and gained friends before we went home. We are planning to enroll her in the classes that they offer too.
We also went to Magic Planet – Ellie’s current favorite place. She knows how to properly use the slide and even say “excuse me” to other kids. She knows that she needs to wait for her turn and she knows how to handle rude kids. Since she is only two years old I need to be with her inside the play area and there are pros and cons when you stay with your kid inside those pits and balls.
So far, with all the giggles and sweaty clothes Ellie ended her day with a sound sleep and happy dreams. I can say that her second birthday celebration was a huge success.
